Ruth created Ragtime Kangaroo in 1986 when her daughter was 2 years old.
Ruth identified with kangaroos as she carried her daughter and her 2 sons in a front fabric pouch she sewed from a pattern.
Ruth drew cartoons of kangaroo characters and wrote books. Ruth then designed and sewed a jointed kangaroo which she entered as the "Ragtime Kangaroo" in Arizona State fair and Won First Place.
Many years later Kangtoons became alive and took over the comic books with their colorful personalities. Kangatoons spend every day sharing endless love for everything positive and fun.
